The Blue Springs North Branch will be temporarily closed for renovations beginning Monday, September 23, 2019, and is scheduled to reopen in Spring 2020.
Holds and Returns
Before September 23, Blue Springs North Branch customers are asked to check out any items you have been notified are available at the Blue Springs North Branch for pickup. Any holds not picked up before close of business on September 22 will be transferred to:
Blue Springs South Branch

After September 23, library materials that become available and were scheduled to be picked up at the Blue Springs North Branch will also be transferred and available at the Blue Springs South Branch. If you would like your holds transferred to another branch during this renovation, please call or visit any MCPL branch and ask a staff member for assistance in redirecting your holds to your desired location..
The branch book drop will not be available for use while the branch is closed. Materials can be returned to the Blue Springs South Branch or any MCPL location not closed for construction.
Storytimes and Book Groups
Blue Springs North customers are invited to attend storytime programs at the Blue Springs South Branch. For storytime schedules, visit mymcpl.org/storytimes.
Blue Springs North book group will meet at 7:30 p.m. the first Thursday of the month at the Blue Springs South Branch.
Programming and Services
During the branch’s closure, Blue Springs North Branch customers are invited to participate in programs at the Blue Springs South Branch. Visit mymcpl.org/events for updated program information.
As an MCPL customer, you are invited to attend programs, including storytimes, browse the collection, use public computers, access free Wi-Fi, and use other Library services at all branch locations including the Blue Springs South Branch, the Grain Valley Branch, and the Oak Grove Branch.

The renovation of this branch is part of the second phase by Mid-Continent Public Library. This project is part of Library’s capital project made possible by funds from Proposition L. The architects are SAPP Design (Springfield, MO) and Helix Architecture and Design, Inc. (Kansas City, MO), and the construction firm for all projects is JE Dunn.
