Donations help Mid-Continent Public Library continue to enrich our citizens and communities through expanding access to innovation, information, ideas, and inspiration while demonstrating the value you see in this essential community resource. While MCPL is primarily funded through tax dollars, increased need within our communities have created new challenges for the Library. There are many ways to support the Library, from joining Library Lovers, to attending the Legacy Luncheon, to supporting special initiatives like the Summer Reading Program Endowment.
Join Library Lovers
By joining Library Lovers, you become a champion for the important work of MCPL in our community.
Your gift to MCPL allows us to advance our mission of expanding access to innovation, information, ideas, and inspiration.
Connect with MCPL on a deeper level through special events throughout the year.
Donate to a Fund
Make a designated donation to support special initiatives like the Summer Reading Program Endowment, the Forever Book Fund, or the Midwest Genealogy Center.
The MCPL Foundation ensures the long-term health and vitality of Mid-Continent Public Library by encouraging innovative, high-impact Library programs, ensuring robust collections, improving Library spaces, and building endowments for the future.
Donations of gently used materials are accepted and evaluated on a case-by-case basis to determine their use in the Library’s collection. Materials not added to the collection are recycled or sold through Better World Books to benefit the Summer Reading Program Endowment.
