Join us at MCPL's Culinary Kitchens at Green Hills Library Center (8581 N. Green Hills Rd. Kansas City, MO 64154) to learn how to prepare delicious beignets with the help of KC Cajun, a local business known for their authentic Louisiana Bayou cuisine. Attendees will also take part in a coffee tasting led by Culinary Kitchens staff – what could be better than enjoying your sweet treats with a steaming cup of joe? 

Attendees may choose to attend the Beignets & Coffee Experience on Friday, December 5th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm or Saturday, December 6th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Both sessions will feature the same programming.

Mark your calendars for a private screening of Hamnet hosted by the Library Lovers program on Saturday, January 31st at 2:00 pm at B&B Theatres Liberty Cinema 12 (1903 Victory Drive, Liberty, MO 64068). 

Based on the acclaimed novel by Maggie O'Farrell, Hamnet tells the story of love and loss that inspired the creation of Shakespeare's famous play, Hamlet. Starring Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal, the film has earned positive reviews and much Oscar buzz.
