No matter what MCPL branch you checked out your materials from, you are able to return them to any of our 31 locations during Library hours or after hours.

If you don't have time to come inside your local Mid-Continent Public Library branch or are returning materials after hours, you can drop your books in an outside book drop (excluding the Midwest Genealogy Center and Woodneath Library Center).

These branches have drive up windows: North Independence, Platte City, Smithville and Woodneath Library Center.

Book drops that are at branches that are closed for renovations are closed for the period of time the branch is closed. Learn more about the renovation schedule.
