Share Your Love of MGC—Become a Volunteer!

August 3, 2022

The Midwest Genealogy Center is one of the premier genealogy libraries in the United States. We offer many print and digital resources and a knowledgeable staff who have a passion for connecting people to their past. However, sometimes we need an extra hand to help us do what we do best.

If you love genealogy and/or have some extra time and want to get involved with a great organization, consider volunteering at the Midwest Genealogy Center.

MGC has several options for volunteers. If you want to share MGC resources with others, we have volunteers who give library tours or help with events. If you have an eye for detail and enjoy data entry, some volunteers work on indexing projects either at the library or from home. We also have transcription and digitizing opportunities to help make our archives accessible on our website.

All our volunteers help to make MGC great, and we appreciate their hard work. If you are interested in volunteering, visit our website or call MGC’s volunteer coordinator, Kayla Hopkins, at (816)252-7228.
