MCPL Website

Mid-Continent Public Library is committed to providing access to innovation, information, ideas, and inspiration to all members of our communities. The mymcpl.org website and other websites maintained internally by staff of the Library are designed to meet the requirements and intent of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), with Web Content Accessibility Guildelines (WCAG) 2 at a minimum of Level AA. If you have difficulty accessing information on the website, please contact our web developers through the Talk To Us form.

MCPL Programs and Activities

Mid-Continent Public Library is committed to providing all Library customers with access to its resources and services, including programs and activities. As such, MCPL strives to make all reasonable accommodations to ensure that people with disabilities have an equal opportunity to enjoy programs and events.

Upon request, MCPL will provide appropriate communication aids and services for persons with speech, hearing, or vision impairments so they can participate equally in the Library’s programs. The available services include but are not limited to qualified sign language interpreters, assistive listening devices, and audio description. Please note, the Americans with Disabilities Act does not require MCPL to fundamentally alter the nature of its programs or impose an undue financial or administrative burden to provide these services.

Qualified individuals requesting these services are advised to make their request at least 72 hours prior to the program they wish to attend. Due to difficulties in securing some accessibility interpreters, notice of five (5) or more business days is strongly recommended.

To request an ASL accommodation for any of the Library's programs, please contact the library at (816)503-4190 or accommodations@mymcpl.org.
