In 1877, a group of former Kentucky slaves established the town of Nicodemus in Graham County, Kansas. These "exodusters" made the arid plains their home and became farmers, teachers, cowboys, and soldiers. Join a National Park Service Ranger as they tell the story of this unique community and the people who went so far for freedom. This program will be held virtually using Zoom. Registration with a valid email address is required to receive the Zoom link. All start times are Central Time.
