The current Kearney Branch opened in 1998. A library has been in Kearney since 1966, and in all that time there have been only three branch managers.

Last year, 155,500 patrons visited the library.

Summer Reading Program Spirit

Summer Reading Program is a big deal at MCPL. Over 35,000 kids participate in the program each year. Those who do earn books and prizes as they build reading skills for the next school year.
