Join Library Lovers and receive benefits like exclusive MCPL merchandise, invitations to member events, and more - all while supporting your Library. Or, purchase a gift of a membership for a loved one by selecting "Give as gift" at checkout.
Donate Materials
Donations of gently used materials are accepted at branches and evaluated on a case-by-case basis to determine their use in the Library’s collection. Materials not added to the collection are recycled or sold through Better World Books to benefit the Summer Reading Program Endowment.
DIY Fundraising
You can create your own customized fundraiser to raise money for MCPL from your friends, family, and other networks. Create a fundraiser on Facebook or visit our JustGiving page and start fundraising today!
Employer Matching
Your gift goes even further with a match from your employer. Contact your employer to see if they will match your donation. Some companies will even continue matching gifts for retired employees.
Sustaining Donation
Sign up for a monthly recurring donation to make an impact all year long. It's simple, secure, and can easily be set up via our donation form. Just select "Recurring donation" under Gift Amount.
Honor or Memorial Gift
Honor a friend, colleague, or loved one through a memorial gift. We’ll mail your recipient a personalized letter letting them know you gave a gift in their loved one’s memory. Give via our donation form and select “I would like to dedicate this gift”.
Leave a Legacy
Leave your mark on the Library by designating MCPL as a beneficiary of your retirement account, insurance policies, appreciated assets, or savings. Talk to your financial advisor or contact us for more information at 816-521-7260.
IRAs, Equities, and More
We are able to accept gifts from a variety of sources. You can support the Library through a charitable distribution from your IRA, donor-advised fund, or through gifts of stock and other assets. Contact us to help find the best option for you at development@mymcpl.org or 816-521-7260.

The Library's annual Legacy Luncheon celebrates the great impact and bright future of the Library and librarians in our community. Attend our next luncheon this summer.
Shop for Good
Our Library Lovers Bonfire Store has t-shirts, sweatshirts, coffee mugs, baby onesies, and more. Give as a gift or show off your love of libraries while supporting Library programs and services.
Foundation Donation
Although donations to the Library qualify for tax deductions, you might prefer to give to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. In that case, you can direct your donation to the MCPL Foundation.
