Homemade Hats!

Our storytime kids had a great time making hats from newspapers and then decorating them. They were so proud of them that they even agreed to pose for this picture! Our books centered on hats blowing away, so as they left the building, they were holding on to theirs with all their might. I am happy to report they all made it safely to their vehicles with the hats on their heads.

Decking the Halls

Have you finished decorating for Christmas? You can tell a lot about a person by looking at their Christmas tree. There are those whose efforts look like something out of a decorator’s magazine, and those that are obviously a project for the whole family. Neither is true at our house. I put up at least two full-sized trees (artificial, since I’m allergic to the real ones) each year, mostly by myself.
