Start Your Own Streak

When I read The Reading Promise: My Father and The Books We Shared by Alice Ozma, I knew I wanted to write about this book in connection with the RAFT Program (Reading Aloud Family Time). What a perfect fit!

Tunisian Crochet

Tunisian crochet is also known as the "afghan stitch." It is a beautiful technique that starts with a chain as with crochet. You pick up stitches from the chain, leaving the stitches on the hook. You then work off the loops that are on the hook, never turning the piece. Both crochet and knit stitches are used in creating attractive pieces.
