History at Your Fingertips

As the grand opening of the Woodneath Library Center approaches, the increased interest in the mansion might pique ones curiosity about other Clay County landmarks and history. The Clay County Archives is a great resource for historic buildings, events, as well as genealogy. A non-profit corporation organized as a depository and research center for original Clay County Records, the Archives is located one block east of the square in Liberty at 210 East Franklin in the Frank Hughes Memorial Library building.

Celebrating 100 Years of the North Kansas City Schools

The North Kansas City School District is celebrating its centennial this year. Part of the celebration was held on Saturday, May 4th with a parade of schools, a 5K run, various musical groups from the schools, and a talk by Bob Hiatt about the history of the schools. The North Kansas City School's Facebook page has pictures of the events.
