And the Winner Is...No One?

As a fiction lover, I was truly surprised by the news of no winner being announced for the Pulitzer Prize in fiction this year. I enjoy reading book reviews and award nominations, and I didn’t realize how little I knew about Pulitzer decisions. This is not the first year a winner has not been awarded, but the last time was 1977.

Our country will celebrate Armed Forces Day this Saturday, May 19th. This day--the third Saturday in May--is set aside each year to honor all branches of the armed services and those who serve in our country's military.

The current North Oak Branch opened in 1990. The first North Oak Branch was opened in the First National Bank in 1966.
