Free (or Almost Free) Things To Do This Summer

The school year is over or almost over. Have you thought about what to do this summer to keep your kids occupied and stimulated? By the time mid-summer rolls around, kids are sick of playing in the yard, have been to the pool a million times, and are begging you to take them some place fun. In this economy, this can get expensive for some. Here is a list of free (or almost free) things to do this summer:

Oak Grove Youth Rodeo Club

The Oak Grove Youth Rodeo Club is a not for profit organization dedicated to helping youth compete in the rodeo arena and the arena of life. It was formed in 1991 to support youth and their families in the sport of rodeo. They want to keep young people involved in an activity where drugs and alcohol are not allowed. You do not have to own or ride a horse, nor do you have to have kids to join or participate in the club. You don't have to be a resident of Oak Grove either, all are welcome.

The Witness by Nora Roberts

Nora Roberts is one of my favorite and most dependable authors. I just recently finished her newest book The Witness. Oh my gosh, awesome book! Nora Roberts always has the best characters in her books, and she's done it again in this one.
