Free Tax Help Is Coming To the Library

AARP Tax Representatives will be at the Excelsior Springs Branch to assist seniors with low to moderate incomes with tax questions and tax return preparation. They will start on Wednesday, February 1st and be at the library every Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. A sign-up sheet will be placed outside the door at 8 a.m. every day for that day only. Contact library staff at 630-6721, if you have any questions.

The Excelsior Springs Branch

The current Excelsior Springs Branch opened in 1986. There has been a library in the town since the 1890's. For 57 years, it was a Carnegie Library on Broadway. Last year, 119,591 patrons visited this branch.
