Decorating With Thrift Store and Flea Market Finds

I was reading an article on the computer a few weeks ago having to do with decorating with yard sale and thrift store finds. Pictures accompanied the article. I would have never known that the items were someone else’s junk. I thought of the old saying, "someone’s junk is another’s treasure." I came to work, looked up the subject, and found books on decorating "vintage." I came across some wonderful ideas. Having had a house fire a few years back and trying to decorate a whole house on a limited budget, the price is right! Seems this subject is taking off.

American Heart Month

February is American Heart Month. Trying to get heart healthy can be very scary and overwhelming at times. What do you do with all that information your doctor just gave you about blood pressure and cholesterol?

Auld Lang Syne

This song is sung all over the world on New Year’s Eve, but I wonder how many people know who wrote it. Robert Burns was an 18th century Scottish poet, a bit of a rebel, philosopher, satirist, humorist, and carouser. Among his many songs, one will find: A Man’s a Man, for All That, A Red, Red Rose, and An Ode to a Mouse.
