Own the Night @ the Library!

Calling all vampires, beasts, zombies, ghosts, and more! The Summer Reading Program starts next Monday, May 21st. The theme this year for teens is Own the Night.

Calling All Young, Talented Artists!

Last year, over 100 works of art were submitted to our Young Artist Exhibition. This year, we are hoping for even more!

Artists between ages 7 - 18 may submit art in categories ranging from drawing, painting, photography, graphic art, and mixed media. Submissions will be accepted from May 14th through July 23rd. Local teachers, artists, and professionals will judge the submissions. Prizes will be awarded.

The Blue Springs North Branch opened in 1993 when the Blue Springs South Branch simply could not manage all readers in Blue Springs. Last year, 178,488 patrons visited the branch.

Summer Reading Program Spirit

Summer Reading Program is a big deal at MCPL. Over 35,000 kids participate in the program each year. Those who do earn books and prizes as they build reading skills for the next school year.
