MGC Lock-In 2023: Beyond the Seas!

MGC Lock-In 2023: Beyond the Seas!

October 20, 2023

The Midwest Genealogy Center invites you to its annual lock-in on November 10 from 6:00 to 11:00 p.m. “Lock-In 2023: Beyond the Seas” will focus on aspects of researching your immigrant ancestors. Join fellow genealogists for dinner and a show, followed by our guest speaker, Lauri Jean Swett. Swett will present “Immigrant Stories and the Records Behind Them.”

The Library will close at 8:00 p.m. to the general public, so attendees will have two hours of research time in the 52,000 square feet of space that houses all the resources needed to track down wayward ancestors. In addition, four special interest groups will meet throughout the night, and MGC will debut its first-ever Colonial Research special interest group, which joins the African American, German, and Irish special interest groups.
