2019 Summer Learning Program Prizes

Mid-Continent Public Library is grateful to our 2019 Summer Learning Program Partners for their generous donations!

All earned prizes must be picked up by August 3, 2019. Teen Bucks can be used for services listed below through December 31, 2019. 

In order to be eligible for prize drawings, participants must meet the requirements at each level below, be registered through the Summer Learning Program website, provide a valid email address, and live in the greater Kansas City area. See complete rules for all eligibility requirements.

1st-Level Completions  (250 points)

Kids and babies will earn a free book.

Teens will have their choice of a free book or 5 Teen Bucks. Teen Bucks may be used to purchase SLP aluminum water bottles, tracking tags, tech gloves, earbuds with a case, and flex booklights. Teen Bucks can also be used to replace Access Passes (Library cards) and pay for fines and copies.

All participants will also be eligible to win a branch prize of a family four-pack of tickets from our Community Partners.

2nd-Level Completions (500 points)

Kids and babies will earn a free book.

Teens will have their choice of a free book or 5 Teen Bucks.

A family four-pack of lower-level tickets to a 2019 Monday - Thursday game at Kauffman Stadium, the opportunity to watch batting practice on the field, and a behind-the-scenes tour.

A family four-pack of tickets to a 2019 Kansas City Chiefs regular season game (date TBD), plus a parking pass and sideline passes.

Four Ultimate Annual Passes and a behind-the-scenes experience.

A one-year family membership for four including a free year of admission to Science City, and one admission for four to the Arvin Gottlieb Planetarium.

A family four-pack of admission tickets including four fast-lane passes and a parking pass (valid through September 8, 2019).

 

3rd-Level Completions (750 points)

Kids ages 0-5 will receive a book and be entered into their branch's drawing for a 16GB Kindle HD 7 for Kids.

Kids ages 6-12 will receive a book and be entered into their branch's drawing for a 32GB Kindle HD 8.

Teens ages 13-18 will receive a book or five Teen Bucks and be entered into their branch's drawing for a 64GB Kindle HD 10 with Echo.

4th-Level Completions (1000 points)

Kids ages 0-12 will receive their choice of either a fourth book or a certificate for a special 2019 SLP t-shirt courtesy of Big Frog Custom T-Shirts (locations in Independence and Kansas City).

Teens ages 13-18 will receive their choice of a fourth free book or five additional Teen Bucks.

Tickets to Library Night at The K featuring the Kansas City Royals vs the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday, July 30, at 7:15 p.m.

Tickets to a 2019 Chiefs pre-season game (date TBD).

Summer Learning Program rules for drawing eligibility:

Only participants registered through the Summer Learning Program website who have provided a valid email address, and live in the greater Kansas City area will be eligible to win prizes selected through drawings. Participants must meet participation requirements to be eligible for a prize. Participants may only win prizes from one MCPL branch. All winners will be drawn at random from all participants who have entered via their contact information the Summer Learning Program website. MCPL representatives will notify winners via contact information registered on the Summer Learning Program website. Winners of prizes that are date sensitive who fail to respond within 7 days forfeit their prize, and an alternate winner will be selected. Prizes have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for other goods or services. Only one prize per person may be awarded. Transportation associated with picking up vouchers or redeeming the prize is the responsibility of the winner’s family. MCPL employees and their immediate household members are not eligible to enter this contest.
