North Platte County Branches

Camden Point, Dearborn, Edgerton

Temporary closing date: November 2018

Reopening date: January 2019

In order to complete construction of these three branches with as little downtime as possible, all three branches will be temporarily closing at the same time. A closing date will be posted here, and Camden Point, Dearborn, and Edgerton customers will receive an email with additional information.

Information about holds and alternate locations for programs, storytimes, and returns will be forthcoming.

Your Refreshed Library Experience is Coming!

The renovation of this branch is part of the second phase by Mid-Continent Public Library. This project is part of Library’s capital project made possible by funds from Proposition L. The architects are SAPP Design (Springfield, MO) and Helix Architecture and Design, Inc. (Kansas City, MO), and the construction firm for all projects is JE Dunn.

Renovation Enhancements:

The North Platte Branches will undergo changes during the renovation, including the following:

  • Camden Point:
    • New windows and lighting
    • Refreshed exterior with automatic entry doors
    • Outdoor seating area
    • New paint, carpet, and ceilings
    • New updated public computers
    • Improved Wi-Fi coverage and access
    • Landscape enhancements
  • Dearborn: 
    • New windows and lighting
    • Refreshed exterior with automatic entry doors
    • Outdoor seating area
    • New paint
    • New updated public computers
    • Improved Wi-Fi coverage and access
    • Landscape enhancements
  • Edgerton:
    • New windows and lighting
    • Refreshed exterior with automatic entry doors
    • Outdoor seating area
    • New paint
    • New updated public computers
    • Improved Wi-Fi coverage and access
    • Landscape enhancements
