Lone Jack Branch

Temporary closing date: October 17, 2018

Reopening date: January 2019

The Lone Jack Branch will be temporarily closed for renovations beginning on October 17. Lone Jack customers will receive an email with additional information.

Information about holds and alternate locations for programs, storytimes, and returns will be forthcoming.
 

Holds and Returns

Before October 17, Lone Jack Branch customers are asked to check out any items you have been notified are available at the Lone Jack Branch for pickup. Any holds not picked up before close of business on October 16 will be transferred to:

After October 17, library materials that become available and were scheduled to be picked up at the Lone Jack Branch will also be transferred and available at the Lee's Summit Branch. If you would like your holds transferred to another branch during this renovation, please call or visit any MCPL branch and ask a staff member for assistance in redirecting your holds to your desired location.. 

Returns:

The branch book drop will not be available for use while the branch is closed. Materials can be returned to any MCPL location not closed for construction.

Programming and Services

As an MCPL customer, you are invited to attend programs, including storytimes, browse the collection, use public computers, access free Wi-Fi, and use other Library services at all branch locations including the Grain Valley Branch and the Oak Grove Branch

Your New Library Experience is Coming!

The renovation of this branch is part of the second phase by Mid-Continent Public Library. This project is part of Library’s capital project made possible by funds from Proposition L. The architects are SAPP Design (Springfield, MO) and Helix Architecture and Design, Inc. (Kansas City, MO), and the construction firm for all projects is JE Dunn.

Renovation Enhancements:

The Lone Jack Branch will undergo changes during the renovation, including the following:

  • Enhanced entry with automatic entry doors
  • Outdoor seating area
  • New paint
  • New, updated public computers
  • Improved Wi-Fi coverage and access
  • Landscape enhancements.
