National Library Week. Sunday April 19 through Saturday, April 25

April 19–25 is National Library Week, and this year we’re celebrating the power of library joy for kids across our community. Through our Big Joy campaign, we are raising support for early literacy programs that spark imagination and build confident readers.

From the Summer Reading Program to the Reading Rocket and 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten, these initiatives create joyful, engaging experiences that help children grow a lifelong love of reading. Your support helps ensure every child has access to books, learning, and the magic of the library.

Big Joy

Join the fun during National Library Week by exploring MCPL branches and collecting a unique set of city-themed stickers! Each branch features a custom sticker designed by local artist Miranda Pietzsch, inspired by the community it serves.

Pick up a passport booklet and start your collection - every visit brings a new sticker to add. It’s a creative way to discover new branches, celebrate our local communities, and experience the Library in a whole new way.
