MCPL Veterans Salute
Each year, Mid-Continent Public Library recognizes the contributions and sacrifices of veterans in our area with our Veterans Salute from the fourth Saturday in September to Veterans Day (November 11). Throughout the year we offer veteran interviews, links to veteran resources, and resources for students.
2021 Veterans Salute 2021 Digital Commemoration: Post 9/11 Veteran Interviews
In 2021, the Mid-Continent Public Library’s annual Veterans Salute concentrated on the stories of Post 9/11 veterans. Four veterans and one Gold Star family sat down with us to talk about their experiences. You can watch the 45-minute documentary or each veterans’ full-length interviews. These videos presentations contains adult language and graphic descriptions of violence. It may not be suitable for all audiences. Viewer discretion is advised.
