Join Dr. Howard Marshall, Professor Emeritus at the University of Missouri-Columbia and former director of the Missouri Cultural Heritage Center, for this free, informal concert of and commentary about traditional fiddle music in Missouri. Several Kansas City-area musicians will join Dr. Marshall on stage. Following the program will be a book sale and signing of Marshall’s recent Keep It Old-Time, the last volume in a trilogy published by the University of Missouri Press about the cultural heritage and people “of the fiddle,” Missouri’s official state musical instrument. This program is presented in partnership with the Missouri Folk Arts Program. Registration is required.
