Kansas City native Gillian Flynn sets her widely popular gothic thrillers in rural Kansas and Missouri. Her works blend 18th century European Gothic with the Southern Gothic of 19th century American writers. Join English professor Katherine Gilbert to discover how Flynn’s works make the old new again – and specifically Missourian.
