Storyteller, educator, and interpreter Mary L. Schmidt will discuss ways to interpret our past. Participants will explore various approaches to portraying people and events through first and third-person interpretation, costumed and non-costumed techniques, storytelling, artifact sharing, and research to engage an audience. This class is part of the Oral Storytelling Certification Program from Mid-Continent Public Library. It counts as a Storytelling Elective. Please note this program will take place in-person in the Story Center Historic Home. Please make sure to register the number of guests in your party. Space is limited.
