Thomas Hart Benton Goes to Hollywood

Early in Benton’s career, he painted sets for the silent movie industry, which played an important role in his development as an artist. He later assisted with the promotions of several Hollywood films, even working with Missouri’s own Walt Disney. His signature painting “Hollywood” is displayed at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.
