Learn about ways to reuse and recycle objects into art! In this workshop, an instructor from ScrapsKC will show you how our creative reuse center recycles and repurposes various items. See how we repurpose and recycle dried up markers in our small batch recycling program, then flex your creativity by making an artistic piece that can be decorative or functional! We'll give you ideas for ways you can repurpose toilet paper tubes, plastic straws, corks, bottlecaps, and more. For this class, you'll want to raid your trash and recycle bins for toilet paper tubes, plastic straws, corks, bottlecaps, and a tin can or two (make sure the edges aren't sharp!). If you have scissors, tape and/or hot glue, and crayons, pens, or markers to decorate your creation, have those at the ready! Be sure to share your creations on facebook or instagram and tag MCPL and ScrapsKC! Program registration will close 30 minutes prior to the start of the program. Participants will be emailed a Zoom access code 15 minutes before the start of the program, so please include your email in the registration. Please note: You must sign into the room prior to the start of the program. Admittance to the classroom will close five minutes after the program's start time. Space is limited.
