Have you ever found a fascinating person or story while researching your genealogy? This course is designed to help students get to the story buried within the research by learning about the key elements of story crafting and how those elements apply to genealogical writing. Using a workshop format, students are encouraged to bring projects they are currently working on to receive guided instruction. This course is offered in partnership with the Midwest Genealogy Center and the Story Center. Woodneath Writers is a monthly meeting open to writers of all genres and skill levels which focuses on providing resources and tips for the writing life. Programs and presenters change monthly and provide a wide range of writing-related topics. Program registration will close 30 minutes prior to the start of the program. Participants will be emailed a Zoom access code 30 minutes before the start of the program, so please include your email in the registration. Please note: You must sign into the room prior to the start of the program. Admittance to the classroom will close five minutes after the program's start time. Space is limited.
