Personal storytelling empowers storytellers to embrace an “aha” moment in their lives that changes them somehow in a way that is universally felt and understood by their audience. In the final class, storytellers will be encouraged to share their true stories with the group, and receive feedback on how to make them stronger. Everyone will be provided with a written ”listener’s guide” on what to look and listen for in a story to see what might be missing - or what might be unnecessary to move the story along. After the three workshops, participants will be given a bibliography of books to read, and documentaries and monologuists to watch to further their exploration of the art of personal narrative storytelling. Program registration will close 30 minutes prior to the start of the program. Participants will be emailed a Zoom access code 30 minutes before the start of the program, so please include your email in the registration. Please note: You must sign into the room prior to the start of the program. Admittance to the classroom will close five minutes after the program's start time. Space is limited.
