Learn about matching venues, gigs, and audiences to your storytelling content and style. There is a world of performance opportunity open to storytellers, but if we don't know what we are interested in, how to find it, or how to build audiences, it can feel like there isn't very much at all. This workshop will help you discover what kinds of performance opportunities are best for you, how to find existing venues and how to create new ones, how to pursue or propose gigs, and how to create an audience that will come to your performances to see you. This event is part of the Oral Storytelling Certificate Program from Mid-Continent Public Library and MCC-Maple Woods. Program registration will close 30 minutes prior to the start of the program. Participants will be emailed a Zoom access code 30 minutes before the start of the program, so please include your email in the registration. Please note: You must sign into the room prior to the start of the program. Admittance to the classroom will close five minutes after the program's start time. Space is limited.
