In this workshop, participants will be presented with revision exercises and strategies that will equip them with the ability to develop the next draft of their creative work. This session will offer examples and activities that help participants to see their work from different angles, to discern what the piece needs, and ultimately to start the process of adding, reorganizing, removing, or making connections in their work. Please bring 1 poem or 500 words of prose to revise during the workshop. You are also welcome to bring a blank page for a new writing adventure. This workshop is intended for active-duty military, National Guard/reserves, veterans and military family members. Participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. This program is presented in partnership with the Kansas City Veterans Writing Team. Program registration will close 30 minutes prior to the start of the program. Participants will be emailed a Zoom access code 30 minutes before the start of the program, so please include your email in the registration. Please note: You must sign into the room prior to the start of the program. Admittance to the classroom will close five minutes after the program's start time. Space is limited.
