African American military service history began with Colonial America. Most are familiar with Tuskegee Airmen, Civil War and Buffalo soldiers. This presentation will help define the locations of veteran records while also uncovering under-utilized holdings of WWI and WWII collections. Plus, your ancestors may have served in the Revolutionary War, War of 1812, the Spanish American War, Philippine Insurrection, or other American conflicts. Follow the record trail to uncover your veterans’ military service.
