Celebrate family connections across the globe in a day-long party. Global Family Reunion is a live worldwide family reunion, festival, fair, and genealogy convention created by bestselling author A.J. Jacobs. The Midwest Genealogy Center will host Mid-Continent Public Library’s reunion, featuring a performance from entertainer Will Stuck, a demonstration by Mad Science, fun hands-on learning experiences, a photo booth, a petting zoo, historic reenactors, and free hot dog lunch while supplies last. Stories & Songs to Make You Wiggle and Giggle (Registration required) 11:30 a.m.-1:45 p.m. Family-friendly hands-on activities • Jackson County Historical Society • Boy Scouts STEM • Frontier Trails Museum • Girl Scouts • Harry S. Truman Presidential Library & Museum • Photo Booth • Stable T Farms Petting Zoo • Reenactors Noon-1:00 p.m. • Lunch - Free Hy-Vee hot dogs lunch (while supplies last) 2:00-3:00 p.m. • Mad Science: Pop, Spin, Boom!
