Launching a food business requires more than a love of food. Whether you’re launching a food truck or stand, opening a café or restaurant, or you are a farmer and producer, there are several things to consider around the business of food. Join Mid-Continent Public Library’s Square One Small Business Services and SEED Law for a food business workshop to learn the details of establishing your business legally, complying with licensing and permits, and understanding the Fair Packaging and Labeling Act standards. Learn from some of Kansas City’s most successful foodpreneurs, subject matter experts, and local authorities. Doors open at 8:00 a.m. for coffee and networking. The program begins at 8:30 a.m. Registration is required.
