This July 26th marks the 70th anniversary of Executive Order 9981, a landmark decision made by President Harry Truman that desegregated the United States Armed Forces. Learn more about this pioneering action in American Civil Rights through "Harry S. Truman and the Quest for Civil Rights,"a special display from the Harry S. Truman Library and Museum. The display will be at Mid-Continent Public Library’s Blue Springs North and Liberty branches until July 24.
