Jumpstart Your Creativity

Join Simaran Singh, BFA graduate in Sculpture at Kansas City Art Institute, to overcome the barriers of creative expression. This workshop is designed for writers, storytellers, visual artists, and anyone curious about flexing their creative muscle. Participants will develop tools to "find" an idea, use layers of writing and visuals to push and pull their creative process, and re-contextualize external resources through collage and blackout poetry to make their own unique statement. This class is part of the Oral and Written Storytelling Certificate Programs as a storytelling elective. Please note this program will take place in person at the Story Center historic home. Please make sure to register the number of guests in your party. Space is limited.
