Ever thought of giving back to your community by starting a nonprofit? If so, MCPL offers many resources to help you reach your goal! If you need help developing an idea or writing a business plan, you can start by taking self-paced courses through Universal Class such as Creating and Managing a Non-Profit Organization and How to Write a Business Plan.

If you prefer learning on a set schedule with the help of an instructor, you might want to try Gale Courses’ Starting a Nonprofit. And, of course, we offer many book options to help you on your journey. If you want to delve into eBooks, try out Safari Business Books, which has such books as From Passion to Execution: How to Start and Grow an Effective Nonprofit Organization by Lyn Scott and The Happy, Healthy Nonprofit by Beth Kanter, Aliza Sherman, and Vu Le.
