The November midterm election is coming up on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. Before you head to the polls, make sure you’re registered to vote! The voter registration deadline for this election is this Wednesday, October 10, 2018. Check to see if you’re registered to vote on the Missouri Secretary of State’s website.
Haven’t registered? No sweat! Swing by one of Mid-Continent Public Library’s branches* to complete the process—all MCPL branches are voter registration sites. Voter registration procedures vary from county to county and within the city of Kansas City, Missouri. Questions about voter registration, including which documents are required for registration, should be directed to your local branch or to the applicable county office:
- Clay County Election Board
- Jackson County Election Board
- Kansas City Election Board
- Platte County Election Board
Another resource that can help you prepare for election day is Vote 411. Offered by the League of Women Voters, this online resource can provide you with a customized ballot based on your address with all of the issues and candidates that you’ll see on election day. You can even make all your selections in the personalized ballot and print this out as a reference for ease and efficiency while you’re at the polls.
