Join the Hunt! MCPL Digital Game Runs through January

January 11, 2021

Put on your sleuthing cap and grab your mobile device! Mid-Continent Public Library has launched a mobile scavenger hunt game that will run from now through the end of the month. Simply download the free GooseChase app to your mobile device, create an account, search for the MCPL New Year’s Resolution Scavenger Hunt game and sign up, and start completing “missions” to earn points!

Missions range from finding answers to local trivia in online Library resources to snapping a photo of your pet “reading” a book. With an internet connection, nearly all missions can be completed without leaving the comfort of home. If you don’t have internet at home, high-speed Wi-Fi can be accessed outside each of MCPL’s branches 24/7.

Depending on the difficulty of the mission, participants earn a certain number of points for each mission. Those who earn at least 2,000 points will be eligible to win a $50 QuikTrip or Trex Mart gift card. In addition to the current missions, each week, the Library will add even more missions, so there are a variety to choose from (or do them all!). Answers to some missions will be included on the Library’s Facebook page, so be sure to like and follow the Library’s page to stay tuned!

If you’re looking for a fun activity for the family this month, check out the MCPL New Year’s Resolution Scavenger Hunt. You never know what you might discover!
