Introducing the “Tracy Tries” Series

Welcome to the inaugural “Tracy Tries” blog series! This is a series where I will try different DIY projects based on resources that Mid-Continent Public Library offers. I have high hopes for this series; however, I’m also scared it will turn into an MCPL version of “Pinterest Fails.” If so, that’s ok; at least I tried! Hopefully, you’ll gain some insight into the vast resources MCPL subscribes to, but I’m sure there will be some laughs along the way.

Are you curious about what I’m going to try first? Without further ado, I am going to cook my way through the Tex Mex Cooking 101 online class offered by Universal Class. I’m sure you have a few questions! Yes, I said cook. Yes, you’ll definitely see photos of the finished product―good, bad, or ugly. No, I am not Emeril Lagasse or Rachael Ray.

I’m alright in the kitchen, but I am by no means a pro chopper; nor do I have any fancy equipment. However, I’ve always loved a style of Mexican food that I now know is actually Tex Mex. If there’s a good place to start, it’s here! Keep an eye out for the first recipe that I try and the results.

Leave your questions AND suggestions of what else I should try in the comments below!

Pro chopper , this made me laugh. I noticed a class or course, not sure where on Couponing. I've always wondered how the whole process works, seeing people save a portion of money, when I seem to spend more, just my luck. Is there a class, or am I mistaken?
