With free resources from Mid-Continent Public Library, you can turn your #goals into #reality. Here are just a few ways your Library can help you with your New Year’s resolutions. Have questions?   • Save Money!

Simply using the Library can save you all kinds of money! Check out the Library Value Calculator to see just how much you can keep in your pocketbook with your Access Pass. Here are just a few Library resources you can use to save moneystream and download your favorite tunes for free with Freegal Music; get free eBooks and audiobooks through OverDrive; read your favorite newspapers and magazines for free through PressReader and RBdigital.

Looking for tips on managing your personal finances? MCPL has you covered there too. Take an online estate planning class or “Investing 101” with Universal Class, and learn “Personal Finance Tips and Tricks” from Or, check out books on a variety of finance and wealth management topics.

Lastly, if you want to make sure you’re getting the most bang for your buck on the products and services you do buy, use Consumer Reports to find credible information from a trusted source.

  • Get Healthy!

Use MCPL’s video streaming services to get workout videos on your device, or search the MCPL catalog for fitness DVDs to bring home. Yoga, Tai Chi, and other health and wellness classes are also offered at numerous MCPL branches. Sign up online!

If you’re looking to improve your diet in addition to your exercise regime, check out the latest cookbooks, and stream videos from Access Video On Demand and OverDrive Video to learn how to buy and make healthy foods.

Wellness isn’t just about managing your weight. It’s also about maintaining emotional and mental health. Learn how to lower your stress level with classes like “The Art of Breathing,” “Stress Management,” and “Aromatherapy 101” from Universal Class, which provides online training at your own pace.
