Free Lunch This Summer

This summer kids can eat free at the Library. Our North Independence Branch has partnered with the Fort Osage School District to provide free hot lunches to kids five days a week. So far over 1,700 people have been served meals. Anyone 18 and under can receive their meals for free, and anyone over 18 can purchase a meal for $3.75.

The program began in June and will run through Friday, August 14.

Monday through Friday
11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Ages 18 and under: free
Ages 19+: $3.75

Important notes: 

• All meals must be eaten on Library property.
• There will be no meals on Tuesday, August 4, due to election activity.
