Magazines! They’re a staple of every doctor’s office and airport terminal. But have you ever found yourself unsatisfied with the available selection? Or, are you simply not sure what you may want to read? Let me help you with that.

Mid-Continent Public Library subscribes to two downloadable magazine services: RBdigital Magazines and Flipster. Each service has its own selection of magazines. You can read them on your computer, tablet, or mobile phone. Both services also have apps for Apple and Android devices to read on the go.

Within Flipster, you will find titles such as People, Entertainment Weekly, and Time.RBdigital  has an even wider variety of magazines, including The New Yorker, Bicycle Times, and Wired. Of course, that’s not all we have. Both RBdigital and Flipster have a selection of magazines for younger readers too. At both services, you’ll find titles such as Spider, ChickaDEE, Teen Vogue, and Highlights for Children.

I would also highly recommend the coloring books. You can print off the pages you want and color them at your leisure. But why not let your fellow MCPL customers decide for you? Here are the current most popular titles for both RBdigital and Flipster.

RBdigital Flipster

Good Housekeeping Sports Illustrated
Us Weekly Real Simple

HGTV Magazine Majesty: The Monthly Royal Review
Martha Stewart Living Southern Living

Today is December 21. I came to the library website to discover its digital magazine offerings. Barbara's blog posted just two days ago was a perfect summary. I'm excited to explore topics related to my new job without having to spend a fortune on subscriptions. MCPL and its staff are the best!
