Participation is free and authors keep all proceeds from the sale of their books.
If you are an author within the greater Kansas City area that would like to participate in our upcoming author fair, please submit your application to the link below. You will receive a confirmation email that your submission has been received.
All entries will be evaluated by a selection committee and selected authors will receive notification of acceptance no later than October 5th.
Author Registration Requirements:
- All authors must submit application within the September 1st to September 15th time frame. Late entries will not be accepted.
- Must live or work in the greater Kansas City area.
- Books must be appropriate for inclusion in a public library.
- Authors must be willing to help promote the event.

I am not quite sure what living in the greater kansas city area means. I live in Excelsior Springs Mo. Does that disqualify me from submitting an application? I would love to be in the event and would hate for my residence to be of an issue. Please let me know. Thank you.
I LIVE IN LIBERTY, AND HAVE PUBLISHED A BOOK OF POETRY, ‘SAND SCRIPT’
THAT IS PRESENTLY BEING PRINTED. ALSO, I HAVE A STAGE PLAY,
‘ MR. GANTT, MODIFIED’ WRITTEN, PRODUCED AND PORTRAYED BY MYSELF ON THE GARRISON SCHOOL STAGE, WILLIAM JEWELL THEATRE CO. AND THE CORBIN THEATRE. LASTLY, I SPEAK ON THE HISTORY OF CLAY COUNTY.
Can you send me information or a link to the 2019 Fair? Thank you
