Attend the 2021 MCPL Legacy Luncheon!

June 4, 2021

Mid-Continent Public Library’s annual Legacy Luncheon is an opportunity to celebrate the great impact and bright future of the Library in our community. While we can’t wait to gather in person with our supporters, partners, and retirees for an engaging afternoon in the future, the 2021 Legacy Luncheon will be virtual.

Even in a digital format, the “event” will offer all of the same highlights that everyone has come to know and love with the addition of exclusive new content. The 2021 Virtual Legacy Luncheon will be available in a “choose your own adventure” format and will give registrants the opportunity to choose how and when they experience the event.

Tickets are $30 for digital access only or $50 for digital access and a signed copy of The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah, this year’s keynote speaker. As in past years, MCPL retirees will be able to register and access the digital event for free, thanks to the generosity of our event sponsors.

The 2021 Virtual Legacy Luncheon webpage will include:

  • A conversation with #1 New York Times bestselling author Kristin Hannah
  • Award nomination videos for the John Ferguson Legacy Award, Maggie Jackson Community Spirit Award, and Victor Gragg Library Champion Award
  • A latte art demonstration with Post Coffee Company (plus a gift card for all registrants to visit one of their MCPL locations, compliments of Central Bank of the Midwest)
  • An exclusive Library update
  • Curated reading recommendations
  • …and much more!

While there’s no substitute for gathering together, you can enjoy this year’s “luncheon” experience at your leisure while supporting your Library. Every ticket purchased will include a link to the exclusive event webpage that will be available starting Friday, July 16, and will be accessible through the end of 2021.

Special thanks to Central Bank of the Midwest, Children’s Plus, Inc., JE Dunn Construction, Miller Donnelli Agency, Inc., Truman Heartland Community Foundation, and Stifel, Nicolaus & Company, Inc. for their support of this year’s Legacy Luncheon.
