After-Hours Treasure Hunt at MGC: 2022 Lock-In

October 12, 2022

The Midwest Genealogy Center would like to invite you to our annual Lock-In! This year’s theme is After-Hours Treasure Hunt at MGC: What will you find? We will discover new genealogy tips and skills with guest speaker Kathleen Brandt and uncover select hidden research treasures at MGC during three mini classes.

The Lock-In is on Friday, November 11, 2022, from 6:00 to 11:00 p.m. Registration will open at 5:15 p.m. Dinner, provided by Grandma’s Catering, will be at 6:00 p.m. in the MGC Community Hall. Following dinner, we’ll hear from our guest speaker, Kathleen Brandt, who will give her presentation “Military Records Are a Treasure Trove.” Then, stick around for research time, mini classes, networking with fellow genealogists, and prizes!

Registration is $15, and you can register by calling (816)252-7228 or visiting Eventbrite.com.

Lock- In Schedule:

  • 5:15 p.m. – Community Hall doors open for registration.
  • 6:00 p.m. – Dinner is served. Our meal will be provided by Grandma's Catering and will include a sandwich, chips, made-from-scratch pasta salad, coleslaw, and a signature sauce. Sandwiches will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The Midwest Genealogy Center is unable to accommodate for dietary restrictions.
