In Our Own Words
If you had guests from out of town who had never visited the Kansas City area before, where would you take them?
I'd take them to the Negro Leagues and Jazz Museum downtown. Also Union Station--particularly the DaVinci exhibit--and, depending on who they are, I'd take them shopping on the Plaza.- Olivia W., Grandview
I would take them to Science city- ABC, North Independence
I would take them to Loose (did I spell that right?) Park first. It's so pretty, and close to the plaza, which would be the next stop. After that I would take them to union station. For lunch, I would take them to Joe's KC, the best bbq ever. We would then go to the zoo, where we would wear ourselves out. Second-to-last (if it weren't for the fact that I'm not old enough to have a driver's license), I would drive them around Overland Park, Leawood, and the surrounding areas.- Grayce W., Red Bridge
I would take them to Succatash for breakfast. Then to Sclitterban. Then to see a Sporting KC game. Then for barbeque.- Andrew L., North Oak
I would definetly take them to the Mildred Keeny Memorial Park just to give a subtle start to the tour, then I would take them over to the Kauffman Stadium since Kansas City is so famous for it. I would visit the Royals and Arrowhead stadiums just in case theyre sports fans, to wrap up the entire tour, I'd take them downtown to view the historical buildings and see the beautiful (and illegal) art on the traains and buildings.- Serenity H., Claycomo
