ABC-CLIO United States Geography

United States Geography is a gateway into the land, people, and history of all 50 states. It includes state overviews searchable by text, categories, states or regions. Primary sources include audio and video clips, archived news reports, topographical maps, and more.

ABC-CLIO World Geography

World Geography provides nearly 200 overviews of countries around the world, providing a revealing portrait of each nation's location and people, recent political history, and economy. It includes the ability to compare data between countries in such areas as illiteracy, population growth rate, natural resources, GDP per capita, and more.

America the Beautiful

Learn about the history, geography, economics, government, and culture of each state, plus Puerto Rico and the major territories. Look up state symbols, and find articles on famous people and places. Check out the games section and test your knowledge of state capitals, famous Americans, and more.

Columbia Gazetteer

Trying to locate a town, river, or mountain range? Use this searchable gazetteer containing the names, descriptions, and characteristics of over 165,000 places in the world.

CultureGrams

Find information on more than 200 countries around the world and learn about the 50 states. The Kids Edition features more than 80 country reports written for elementary students with easy to understand information and fun facts. Check out the recipe collection containing five recipes from each country.

Global Road Warrior

Global Road Warrior includes information about culture, communications, travel, and business, as well as maps, for 175 countries and territories.

Historic Map Works

Historic Map Works is a full color digital collection of historic maps. The core of the collection consists of over 100,000 land ownership maps detailing the geographic and development history of the United States over several hundred years. In addition there are thousands of pages of illustrations and over 1,000 city directories related to the maps. Antiquarian maps covering the world from the 15th to 19th centuries are included as well.

Hospitality, Tourism and Leisure Collection

This collection of more than 800 journals, 29 reference titles, and travel handbooks from Fodor's provides well-rounded coverage of both the historical and current state of affairs in the hospitality and tourism fields. It is a resource for curious travelers and serious researchers alike. Although the majority of the content in this database is available through the Academic OneFile and/or General OneFile databases, there is some original subject-specific content as well.

Lands and Peoples

A fun and educational encyclopedia of countries, cultures, and current events. Each article describes a country's land, people, economy, history, and government. Check out the current news stories, atlas, and educational games including puzzles and brain teasers.

World Geography and Culture Online

Teachers and students will find printable maps and flags of continents, countries, the United States, and Canadian provinces. Vital statistics, government, and demographic information is also available. Use the graphing tool to compare key statistics for up to four countries or states.
