The Bridge is Gone, But We're Still Here

Some of you may not know this, but the bridge over the I-29 exit at County Roads E and U in Camden Point is no longer there. It was demolished in the evening hours of May 10, 2013. The construction of the new bridge should take most of the summer. But we at the Camden Point Branch are still here, and the Library is open as usual. You might have to take a few scenic routes for a while, but at least the weather is nice.

Twelve Free Guitar Lessons This Summer

My preteen son has been begging to take guitar lessons, but with all the other activities he’s involved in, I could not imagine adding one more evening scramble to our week. Not to mention, lessons are pretty expensive, and our family’s budget is maxed out. Recently, I learned the Library offers the perfect solution. Guitar lessons he can take from home, for free!

Summer Plans

With school soon to be out, what is there for young minds to do to avoid hearing, "I’m bored"? Here at the Camden Point Branch, we will have programs that can help exercise those young minds.
