History at Your Fingertips

As the grand opening of the Woodneath Library Center approaches, the increased interest in the mansion might pique ones curiosity about other Clay County landmarks and history. The Clay County Archives is a great resource for historic buildings, events, as well as genealogy. A non-profit corporation organized as a depository and research center for original Clay County Records, the Archives is located one block east of the square in Liberty at 210 East Franklin in the Frank Hughes Memorial Library building.

I remember thinking that I was so clever to have fooled the adults yet again. I understand now that in reality, the adults were playing along with me in this game each year.

Tongue Twisting Fun!

Can you say this five times fast?

I wish to wish the wish you wish to wish, but if you wish the wish the witch wishes, I won't wish the wish you wish to wish.

Tongue twisters are great fun and such a challenge, but they are not all fun and games. Many times tongue twisters are used to improve speech skills, pronunciation, and communication. This, in turn, can boost confidence in children as well as adults. And it makes an otherwise intimidating and frustrating exercise into something fun than you can do with a professional, family, or by yourself.

Motor Assist...My Hero!

Last week I had a flat tire. Let me rephrase that. My tire was half gone and what was left was in shreds.

I was on my way home from a get-together with the girls when all of a sudden, my friend and I heard a terrible noise. None of my gauges were flashing on the dashboard, so we didn’t quite know what to make of the noise. All I knew was that I needed to get in the far right lane as soon as possible.
